Little National Hotel

Paperform was commissioned to create a series of paper sculptures for the boutique Canberra hotel Little National.

The hotel site occupies an important location for the breeding of the endangered Golden Sun Moth. The building was designed with this in mind and retained a section of its building envelope as refuge for the moth’s survival.

In an expression of this sensitivity, we created a series of paper works that drew on the inspiration of the moths. From their life cycle and breeding habits to their physiology and patination – our abstract and taxonomical sculptures we installed across the hotel as moments of reflection for guests.
