ADC – Craft Week

Studio Paperform has again collaborated with the Australian Design Centre to dream up a bold and colourful window display to officiate their Sydney Craft Week program.

Brief: With budget in mind, design, create and install an eye-catching and celebratory paper moment to accompany Craft Week’s showcase Contemporary Jewellery Award exhibition. The 2019 festival theme was ‘PLAY’.

Story: Our installation in the huge windows of the main gallery courts attention from passing traffic on the busy William Street location. In response to ‘PLAY’ and the structural nature of the jewellery designs, the geometric forms were bold. The crystalline apertures allowing light to pass into the exhibition space.

This projects exemplifies Studio Paperform’s ongoing mantra to honouring paper as sole expressive medium. Refining our ideas to employ this simple, renewable material in unique and expressive ways.
